The big idea: Anywhere

Every great brand owns a single idea in the customer's mind. Bluebot owns Anywhere.

Other smart water systems make you choose: cut into your plumbing and call a plumber, or settle for a monitor bolted to the one meter in your yard. Bluebot refuses the trade-off. It clamps onto any pipe, in any place, the kitchen line, the irrigation valve box, the tenant's branch line, the commercial main, and starts reading your water in minutes.

That freedom is the whole brand. It is what we lead with, what our pictures show, and what customers remember. When someone describes Bluebot to a friend, we want them to say one thing:

"It is the one you can clamp onto any pipe, anywhere. You do not have to cut anything."

Everything in this guide exists to make that sentence true and unforgettable.

Section 3

Brand foundation

Positioning statement

For homeowners, irrigation owners, and property managers who want to see, understand, and control their water without cutting a pipe or calling a plumber, Bluebot is the go-anywhere smart water meter that clamps onto any line, from the kitchen sink to the commercial main, and turns every drop into dollars you can actually see.

Purpose

To give every home and business the power to see and control their water, without tearing into their plumbing to do it.

Vision

A world where understanding your water is as simple as clamping on a meter, wherever the water flows.

Value proposition

  • Go anywhere. One meter fits 80+ pipe types, 3/4-inch to 4-inch, indoors or out.
  • Skip the plumber. Clamp it on yourself in minutes. Save roughly $500 on install.
  • See it in dollars. Dollarize™ translates gallons into the number that actually matters.
  • Catch what you cannot see. Silent toilet leaks, irrigation failures, slow drips, billing errors.

Brand promise

Clamp it on, tap the app, and you are in control, anywhere a pipe runs.

Section 4

Brand story

Most people have no idea what their water is doing. It runs behind walls, under floors, and out to the yard, invisible until something breaks or a bill spikes. The tools meant to fix that came with strings attached: rip into your plumbing, hire a pro, schedule a shutoff, and hope you never need the receipt.

Bluebot started from a stubborn question: why does getting smart about water have to mean cutting into it?

So we built a meter that does not. It clamps onto the outside of almost any pipe and reads the flow without ever breaking the line. That one engineering choice changed everything. Suddenly a meter could go where meters never went: inside an irrigation valve box, on a single tenant's line, on a four-inch commercial main, under a kitchen sink. No plumber. No cutting. No downtime.

And once you can measure water anywhere, you can finally do something with it: see it, understand it, and watch it in real dollars instead of abstract gallons.

That is Bluebot. Water intelligence that goes wherever the water goes.

Section 5

Who we serve

We win first where "go anywhere, no plumber" is not a nice feature, it is the only thing that works. Then we bring the same freedom to every home.

Lead audiences, where we plant the flag

Plant the flag

Property managers & commercial operators

They need to meter individual tenants, units, and lines without a plumber, a shutoff, or downtime per pipe. Bluebot clamps onto each line and FloDash manages hundreds of devices from one place.

Their hookSub-meter every line without touching the plumbing.
Lead audience

Irrigation owners

The lines that waste the most water are the ones traditional monitors cannot reach. Bluebot clamps inside the valve box or on the irrigation main and flags broken pipes, stuck valves, and zone failures before bills spike or landscapes die.

Their hookFinally meter the irrigation line nobody else can.
Lead audience

Multi-property owners

One account, one dashboard, every property. Movable meters that do not require a contractor at each site.

Their hookSee all your water, everywhere you own, in one view.

Expansion audience

Expansion

Homeowners

Catch silent toilet leaks, track outdoor use, get alerts while away, and challenge an inflated bill with hard data, all from a meter they clamped on themselves in minutes.

Their hookSmart water, anywhere in your home, without cutting a thing.
Section 6

What makes Bluebot different

Three things, in order of importance. Lead with the first.

1
It goes anywhere.
Any pipe, any place, any size: 80+ pipe types, 3/4-inch to 4-inch, indoor or outdoor. The meter is not locked to your main line or to the utility meter in the yard. It goes on the line you care about, including the ones other systems cannot touch.
2
No cutting, no plumber.
Unlike systems that splice into your plumbing, Bluebot clamps onto the outside of the pipe. You install it yourself in minutes and save roughly $500 on plumbing, and you can move it whenever you need to.
3
You see your water in dollars.
Dollarize™ converts flow into real money. We think in dollars, not gallons, so Bluebot lets you manage water that way.

The honest edge

Bluebot does not shut your water off. It is a meter, not a valve. That is deliberate. It is what lets Bluebot go on any pipe, anywhere, including the irrigation and tenant lines a shutoff device cannot reach. We trade a valve for total visibility. Say this plainly and with confidence. It is a strength, not an apology.

Section 7

Messaging architecture

Tagline (primary)

Any pipe. Any place. No cutting.

One-liner

Bluebot is the go-anywhere smart water meter. Clamp it onto any line, anywhere, and see every drop in dollars.

Primary message

The smart water meter that goes anywhere a pipe does.

Supporting messages (each one proves "Anywhere")

  • Goes anywhere: "From the kitchen sink to the irrigation box to the commercial main."
  • Fits anything: "Works on 80+ pipe types, copper to PEX, 3/4-inch to 4-inch."
  • No cutting: "Clamp it on. No plumber. No shutoff downtime. Save roughly $500 on install."
  • Real intelligence: "See your water in dollars, not gallons, with Dollarize™."
  • Proof it works: "One Bluebot uncovered a $13,000 water-billing error."

Headline bank (for ads, pages, decks)

The smart water meter that goes anywhere a pipe does.
Stop cutting pipes to get smart about water.
One meter. Any pipe. Anywhere.
Meter the lines nobody else can reach.
Clamp it on. Tap the app. Take control.
Your water, everywhere, in dollars, not guesswork.

Elevator pitches by audience

Property manager: "Bluebot clamps onto any tenant line, no plumber, no shutoff, no downtime, and you manage every meter across every unit from one dashboard."

Irrigation owner: "Bluebot clamps right into your valve box or onto the irrigation main and warns you the moment a line breaks or a zone fails, before the bill or the dead grass shows up."

Homeowner: "Bluebot is a smart water meter you clamp on yourself in minutes, no cutting, no plumber. It catches silent leaks, tracks every drop, and shows your water in dollars."

What we do not say

We do not position Bluebot as a leak-prevention shutoff or a "whole-home protection" device. That is a different product in a different lane, and chasing it blurs the one thing we own. We talk about visibility, freedom, and control, anywhere, not automatic shutoff. Hold this line everywhere.

Section 8

Brand voice & tone

Personality

Bluebot is the clever, capable friend who is great with their hands. Approachable and plainspoken, but quietly expert. Confident without bragging. Smart without showing off. Never stuffy, never gimmicky.

Voice principles

  • Plain over technical. Say "clamp it on any pipe," not "non-invasive ultrasonic flow metering." Lead with the benefit, let the spec back it up.
  • Concrete over abstract. Name the real places: valve box, under-sink, tenant line, commercial main. Specificity is what makes "anywhere" believable.
  • Confident over hype. State the advantage and stop. No exclamation-point overload, no fear-mongering.
  • Honest over salesy. When we name a limitation (no shutoff), we own it and turn it into the point.
  • Short over long. Tight sentences. One idea each. Let it breathe.

Tone by context

  • Homepage and ads: Bold, simple, benefit-first. ("Any pipe. Any place. No cutting.")
  • Product and install: Reassuring and step-by-step. ("Clamp it on. Tap the app. You are done.")
  • Commercial and reseller: Credible and outcome-focused. (Fewer truck rolls, full visibility, manage hundreds at once.)
  • Support and alerts: Calm, clear, useful. Tell people exactly what happened and what to do.

Section 9

Naming & product architecture

One brand, one idea. Every product is the same go-anywhere meter, sorted by where and how it goes anywhere, never drifting into a different category.

ProductStands forNotes
Bluebot MiniThe compact one (3/4-inch to 1-inch)Entry, indoor/outdoor
Bluebot FlagshipThe everyday one (3/4-inch to 2-inch, Wi-Fi)Core home product

Bluebot PrimeThe big-pipe one (2.5-inch to 4-inch, Wi-Fi)Larger residential & commercial
Bluebot ProLink PrimeThe big-pipe, connect-anywhere oneEnterprise/commercial

Feature brands (protect and capitalize)

  • Dollarize™ the feature that shows water in dollars. Always a Bluebot feature, never a separate product.
  • FloDash™ the web dashboard that manages one meter or hundreds.

Naming rule

A new product must obviously be "another way Bluebot goes anywhere" (a pipe size, a connectivity method, a place). If it is not, it does not carry the Bluebot name.

Section 10

Proof & evidence

Lead with freedom, back it with proof. Keep these credible and current.

  • The $13,000 case study is the flagship story for "what visibility everywhere is worth."
  • Compatibility: 80+ pipe types and materials, Copper L & M, PVC SCH 40 & 80, CPVC, Galvanized, PEX, PE, Stainless 304 & 316, 3/4-inch to 4-inch.
  • Five-star owner reviews emphasizing fast, simple install and accuracy across pipe sizes.

Always attribute third-party stats to their source and keep figures verifiable.

Section 11

Visual identity direction

The following sets the direction for the new brand expression. Lock exact values against the official logo files before rollout.

Logo

  • Use the Bluebot wordmark as the primary identity. Maintain clear space around it equal to the height of the "B." Never crowd it.
  • Provide light-on-dark (white) and dark-on-light versions. Do not recolor, stretch, rotate, add effects, or place the logo on busy imagery without a scrim.
  • Minimum sizing: ensure the wordmark stays legible. Do not shrink below readable size in any medium.

Color (recommended system)

A confident, clean palette built around Bluebot's namesake blue, with a money-green accent that ties directly to Dollarize™.

Keep backgrounds clean and generous. Let blue lead, green mean money, amber mean attention. Do not overload a layout with all colors at once.

Typography (recommended direction)

  • Headlines: a modern geometric or humanist sans (Inter, Poppins, or similar), confident, friendly, highly legible. Big and bold for the "Anywhere" lines.
  • Body: the same family or a clean companion sans for long-form clarity.
  • Numbers and data: treat dollar figures and stats as visual heroes, large, bold, often in Dollarize Green.
  • Generous line spacing and short measure. The brand should feel uncluttered, like the install.

Photography & imagery, the single most important visual rule

Every hero image should make the viewer think: "Wait, you can put it there?"

Show Bluebot clamped onto the places competitors cannot reach: inside an irrigation valve box, on a four-inch commercial main, under a kitchen sink on a branch line, on a tenant's individual line. Show hands clamping it on (no tools, no cut pipe) and the app or dashboard beside it. Real installs, real pipes, real places, not sterile studio renders. The picture is the argument for "Anywhere."

Iconography

Simple, rounded line icons matching the existing kitchen, bathroom, outdoors, alerts set. One clear idea per icon. Consistent stroke weight. Use them to map places water goes, reinforcing reach.

Layout

Lots of whitespace. One message per screen. Big benefit headline, supporting line, a clean product or "Anywhere" photo, one clear call to action ("Get Bluebot" / "Find My Bluebot"). Resist clutter. The simplicity of the layout mirrors the simplicity of the product.

Section 13

Brand do's and don'ts

Do

Lead every story with Anywhere: placement freedom, no cutting, no plumber.
Show Bluebot in places people don't expect a meter to go.
Make dollars the hero of the data (Dollarize™).
Win commercial, irrigation, and multi-property first, then carry the message home.
Speak plainly, confidently, and honestly, including about what Bluebot is not.

Don't

Position Bluebot as a shutoff or "whole-home protection" device.
Lead with "leak detection" alone. It is one benefit of a bigger idea.
Bury irrigation, sub-metering, and commercial as afterthoughts. They are proof of "Anywhere."
Add products or sub-brands that don't ladder up to the go-anywhere meter.
Clutter layouts or drown the message in specs. Simplicity is the brand.
